These 8 drawings in the folder were collected in collaboration with Ir. Dr. VW van Gogh and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, and were published at the turn of the year 1967-1968 for the relations of NV Gebr. Zomer & Keunings Drukkerij Vada Binderij en Uitgeversmaatschappij in Wageningen.
The folder with copper intaglio prints covers the entire period of Vincent van Gogh's artistic life. Each drawing in copper intaglio print has a description of the work, in Dutch and English.

The reproductions were made using the copper intaglio printing process and produced on the presses of the Vada printing company in Wageningen in a limited edition.
The text was written by Ir. Dr. VW van Gogh.
The paper was made by the firm Huiskamp & Sanders in Eerbeek. The text was set from the Romulus by JH van Krimpen.

The back of each engraving states the drawing number of the Vada map, the origin and the printing process.
Unlike his uncle, Vincent W. van Gogh did not become interested in painting until later in life. He was the son of Theo van Gogh and named after his brother, the painter Vincent van Gogh. His passion (his profession was engineer) was business processes. It was not until later in life that he delved into the art collection that he inherited after the death of his mother in 1925, which he managed. In 1960, he founded the Vincent van Gogh Foundation with the aim of keeping the collection together and housing it in a Van Gogh museum. He wrote the text for the folder, in which he reflected on the layers in the process of discovering and creating art.

In the meantime, the few folders with drawings that have survived for almost 60 years have become collector's items, as have the folders about Isaac Israëls (1965/66), Jan Toorop (1966/67), Dick Ket (1964/65) and Jean Baptiste Madou (1968/69).

Condition of copper intaglio prints is fine, folder is slightly yellowed.
