I know Uwe personally. The painting was made in Enschede where he lived at the time on the Oosterstraat. His studio was in his home. That's where I saw the painting for the first time and bought it immediately.
Uwe walked a lot and made drawings in his sketchbook while walking. That drawing could be anything like a tree, a grove, or people he saw. There is always movement in the sketch/painting.
