Beautiful color etching/aquatint by Tjeerd Bottema: Boerendeel in Laren.
Signed in pencil at the bottom T.Bottema and title mentioned (less clearly visible).
Light signs of use and age, mainly outside the image.

Bottema was a pupil at the Industrial School of the Society for the Working Class, the Quellinus School of Applied Arts and the National Academy of Visual Arts in Amsterdam. He was a pupil of August Allebé, Antoon Derkinderen, George Sturm and Nicolaas van der Waay, among others.
He won the Prix de Rome in 1907 and was therefore able, after graduating from the Rijksacademie, to make various art trips to Italy, Spain, Morocco, France, England and Belgium. From 1911 to 1919 he worked in Laren. After that he settled settled in Katwijk aan Zee, where he lived until his death in 1978.
Bottema was also an advertising artist and illustrator. As an advertising designer he designed the logo for RVS, the man with the top hat and walking stick with the woman under a parasol. As an illustrator he made the drawings for the books of the Protestant Christian writers Anne de Vries and WG van de Hulst, but he also made drawings for the socialist magazine De Ware Jacob.[1] A drawing he made of a vagrant inspired the writer John Henri uit den Bogaard to create the TV character Swiebertje.[ 2]
Brother Tjerk Bottema
His two-year older brother Tjerk was also a painter. He died in 1940 on board the SS Berenice, torpedoed in the Channel, during its flight from Bordeaux. Frédérique Bruyel-van der Palm described them both in her book Tjerk and Tjeerd Bottema.
Katwijk Museum
The Katwijks Museum has the Bottemazaal on the first floor, which is named after Tjeerd Bottema. Thanks to his legacy, the Katwijks Museum could be set up and opened in the former shipowner's house in 1983. In this room, also in changing compositions, works can be seen by Tjeerd Bottema, his brother Tjerk Bottema, his wife Cornelia van Amstel and their daughters Hil Bottema and Johanna Bottema.Source: Wikipedi
