Jos van Dijk. Born in 1913 in Bolsward, died in Amsterdam 1998.
Has drawn and painted from a young age. Educated in Amsterdam with private lessons from Jan Pieké and prof. H.vd. Wal. Has undergone quite a few influences. Was a member of Cobra for a while and worked in that style but has let it go again. Knew Karel Appel and Corneille personally.
Produced a lot. A work of his ended up in the Guggenheim and there is also something of his in New Zealand.
