Very nice and large color offset lithograph designed by Jim Dine in 1983. Dimensions of sheet 80 x 54 cm in new condition. This exhibition poster was designed by Jim Dine for the exhibition at Galerie Maeght in Paris. This exhibition ran from April 12, 1983 to May 20, 1983. Dine attended the University of Cincinnati and the Boston School of Fine and Applied Arts, and graduated in 1957 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ohio State University in Ohio. In the late fifties, Dine attracted attention with his participation in the so-called happenings in the Judson Gallery, which he founded with Claes Oldenburg and Allan Kaprow. He had his first solo exhibition in 1960 at the Reuben Gallery in New York. In 1962, he exhibited with Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Robert Dowd, Phillip Hefferton, Joe Goode, Edward Ruscha and Wayne Thiebaud, among others, during the groundbreaking exhibition New Painting of Common Objects at the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena (California). This exhibition is considered the first pop art exhibition in the United States.
