Jef Depassé - Marble statue

This unique statue is offered from the private collection of the family of Jef Depassé. Including pedestal. The statue can be placed both outside and inside. The photos were taken in the Hortus Hortus botanicus in Haren, during one of Jef's solo exhibitions.
Jef did not put a signature on the work itself, which is why it is now labeled "unsigned" in this environment. It is unmistakably a 'real Depassé'. A certificate of authenticity will be provided upon sale, if desired, in which the authenticity, originality and origin of this work is guaranteed.
About Jef
Jef Depassé, actually Jef Depasse Huisman, (Amsterdam, July 9, 1943 - Paterswolde, December 22, 2021) was a Dutch sculptor. Depassé made sculptures in brass, marble, bluestone, wood and bronze. From large and monumental to small and delicate. He worked both abstractly and figuratively. Jef Depassé worked as a sculptor for over 50 years. His sculptures found their way to private individuals, companies and governments. Depassé made many commissioned works for governments and companies, often also intended for public spaces. For example, there are more than twenty of his sculptures in public spaces in villages and towns in Groningen and Drenthe. Many people have seen his work at one of the open studio routes or at one of his exhibitions at Landgoed Lemferdinge, in the Hortus in Haren, at Galerie De Herkenning in Wittelte or at Galerie Huis ter Heide.
