Hen Euverman came from Enschede. After the Second World War he settled in Eindhoven where he worked as a graphic designer in the advertising department of Philips.
In his free work he specialized in making watercolors. He was versatile in his choice of subjects: he painted flowers, nudes, landscapes and cityscapes. In 1982 he made a series of cityscapes of Eindhoven in honor of the 750th anniversary of the city. Although the origin of his subjects is figurative, it can be seen that he has increasingly developed in an abstract direction. This applies especially to his flowers and landscapes. With precise brushstrokes and usually without underdrawing he composed his images directly on the paper.
Studied at AKI (Academy for Art and Industry, Enschede) 1949-1951
He spent his working life in Brabant, which is why he is considered one of the "Brabant Painters". Exhibitions in Rome, Paris (Grand Palais), Athens, Chartres, Brussels and several times in the Peter van den Braken Centre in Sterksel.
