Mooie zeefdruk van de bekende kunstenares Gerti Bierenbroodspot is genummerd (Nr. 51 van 250), handgesigneerd en voorzien van het welbekende stempel en ingelijst in een goudkleurige lijst.
Gerti Bierenbroodspot (1940) is schilder, beeldhouwer en schrijver. Ze doorliep de Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten en de Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten. Vrij snel na haar academietijd had ze meteen zoveel succes dat het Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam haar werk aankocht. Ze belande in een spoor dat haar niet beviel, begon te reizen en vond met name in de iconografie van de klassieke oudheid nieuwe inspiratie. Bierenbroodspot is een romanticus die als een “tijdreiziger” graag verblijft in een mythische wereld die ze tot uitdrukking brengt in haar werk.
