He also lived and worked here until his death in 1976. Ronda was a student at the Kunstnijverheidsschool in Maastricht. He made a study trip to France where he discovered the French landscape. Back in the Netherlands, he focused on landscapes, harbor views and cityscapes in an expressionist style. He painted, drew, watercolored and also made wood engravings.
