Founded in 1919 - dissolved in 1970
The Nederlandsche Photographers Patrons Vereeniging (NFPV) arose because of dissatisfaction with the administrative policy of the pre-war Nederlandsche Fotografen Kunstkring (NFK). This was because, according to some members, the NFK did not pay enough attention to economic issues, and focused only on elevating the artistic profession. In 1969 the NFPV and the NFK merged to form a new organization, namely the Professional Photographers Netherlands (BFN).
