Gerardus Fredericus Antonius ROUND (Schiedam 1904 - Rotterdam 1946)


After his training as a metalworker, he founded his studio in 1931 and specialized in working tin. He used geometric shapes that he based on the style of the Amsterdam School. He often used the Reuleaux triangle in which a figure is formed by the intersection of three circles, each with its center at an intersection of the other two. The Reuleaux triangle is named after the 19th-century German engineer Franz Reuleaux. The studio existed until 1944.
