Barend Johan Stronkhorst (1876-1953)
Barend Johan Stronkhorst was born on February 20, 1876 in Harderwijk and died on November 6, 1953 in Laren (NH). Stronkhorst followed no specific artistic training and was a self-taught artist. Although a deserving artist, he was primarily a hotelier with which he also provided a basic income. As an artist he was active in Abcoude-Proosdij, Laren NH., De Werken (near Sleeuwijk) and Bussum.
